FRESH:: The Futureheads - Heartbeat Song, Stuck Dumb

So, its been a while since we last heard from these lads. Firstly they went "off the radar" with their 2nd album, "News And Tributes", back in 2006. Then they came back from the dead with their decent, 2008 release, "This Is Not The World", with loads of fuckin' awesome singles off that album. Now its the time for their 4th, still untilted album, set for release sometime Spring, 2010. They 've already revealed 2 new tracks, "Stuck Dumb"- free download- and most recently, "Heartbeat Song"(already streaming at their MySpace page). The whole attitude is still the same, rough/post-punk that is, but with a poppier edge this time round. Enjoy!

FRESH:: Lightspeed Champion - Madame Van Damme (New Track)

Dev Hynes(or Lightspeed Champion) is back with his 2nd official album
as we have posted before,it's gonna be called "Life Is Sweet,Nice To Meet You.",out on February 1st
Domino is giving away a song from the album,called "Madame Van Damme"
it's simply brilliant,with a really catchy refrain
i fell in love with it instantly
According to Domino, the new album will be very inspired by American country, 70's guitar and classic piano
if the rest of the songs are like this one,Dev Hynes can consider himself for the 2010 lists as well

FRESH:: Gorillaz - Stylo

a lot has been said for the new Gorillaz album "Plastic Beach", coming out on March 8th
Damon Albarn had stated that he would like "to work with an incredibly eclectic, surprising cast of people."
and so he did
the album will feature Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, Mos Def, Mark E. Smith and several others
Gorillaz have even recorded a track with The Horrors,but noone knows if it will be released
so there's no doubt that we are all waiting for this album

the first track that we were lucky to hear is a radio edit of "Stylo"
i would say it is more into 80s, a different sound of what we were expecting
but it is rather interesting,it sounds like an old analog electronic song
and you can hardly tell if it is the usual Damon singing,featuring Bobby Womack and Mos Def

Franz Ferdinand, collaborating with a hollywood star(Marion Cotillard won the Oscar for her perfomance in La Vie En Rose..) for a tv ad? Well, its true!Franz recorded "The Eyes Of Mars" with Cotillard for the new campain of Dior."The Eyes.." find Franz in a good shape (still..) since the whole female-voice/erotic mood of the track seems to work fine. Check it out, go buy Dior!(Just kidding..)

FRESH:: Islands - No You Dont

So, Islands have a new video for their track "No You Dont" off their latest album Vapours. There are 3 things that you should probably know about Islands: 1)Its the band of Nick Diamonds (ex- The Unicorns)
2) They are a fuckin' great indie-pop band that have already released 3 albums from which their 2006 debut, Return To The Sea, being their best one.
3) Your all time favourite indie-hollywood movie star is in their new video. Michael Cera takes drugs and hallucinates while walking around. Enjoy!

FRESH:: Crookers, Jackson Glass

this is about 2 new tracks.
some acid house and disco tunes are always interesting.

1.Crookers feat. Soulwax & Mixhell - We Love Animals: Although i was not into the Crookers album,their new track really got me.A crazy intro leading into acid house/electro with great sounds.Of course Soulwax couldn't stay out of this,i wonder if these guys have done something that is just not good,they're the masters.Excellent work,a true banger.

2.Jackson Glass - Pole Dancer: A nu-disco tune.This kind of movement is still alive,at some level it is transformed into disco classics,and for those of you who are denying it,i bet you all danced into Aeroplane's remix on Sebastian Tellier's "Kilometer".If you loved it,then you will surely love this one.

Caspa

Rusko's label mate and friend,they took dubstep to the next level.
The whole thing speaks for itself,feels like something truly fresh.
And,believe me,you don't wanna miss it.
He has remixed Rusko's anthem,"Cockney Thug",and TC's "Where's My Money".
His new tune"The Takeover(feat Dynamite MC)",is amazing and his album is ready.
