The Knife is a swedish electropop duo formed in 1999, by Karin Dreijer Andersson (formerly of Honey is Cool) and Olof Dreijer. During, it's 10 year existance the band has released four studio albums. The bands distinguishing characteristic is their refusal to cooperate with the media and the mainstream music scene. The members rarely make public appearances and when they do so they wear masks formed as bird's beaks.
Heartbeats - The track was the first single from The Knife's 2003 album Deep Cuts.
It's quite hypnotic but at the same time really exciting. It combines powerful lyrics and great synth beats which make the song a filler for the dancefloor!!
