Favourite Albums Of 2009 #16

Fever Ray - Fever Ray

Fever Ray was this year's surprise,Karin Dreijer Andersson of the excellent electronic duo we all are aware of,The Knife.
an album which you can listen with the lights off, kind of loud, and mind-travel.
it sounds weird but you should try it.
its concept is really interesting, with dark basslines, atmospheric vocals and a very clever production approach.
you can feel every second of its songs, they can even make you taste fear.

this is what we wrote back in February:
"Her name is Karin Dreijer Andersson and she's the first half of The Knife. We learned this project "Fever Ray" from her first single If I Had A Heart which came out on last December. When I Grow Up is her second single off her debut album coming out on March 18th 2009 by Rabid Records in Sweden. Her music explores even more paths than what she did with The Knife. This time the arty direction of the project is even more visible with these two amazing videos. They are like two nightmares on the same night. The video for ‘If I Had A Heart’ was directed by Andreas Nilsson. The future is yours Karin."
